Drama Centre

I was studying at Diwan when I looked up to see a colorful poster for kids workshops, they contained art centre, craft centre, game centre and Drama centre, from age 3 to 12, all seemed okay, then I thought, why does a 5 year old need acting lessons for? why teach him how to pretend and fake something, why would anyone want to do that?? growing up they'll learn to do that (hide a feeling, fake a smile), so why start so early?, they should learn form their mistakes to not lie as they'd get caught, but if I train them now to act, then what will happen in the future?, and why call it a "Drama" centre?, why darken the mood and the day at this young age?? , they'll have their enough share of trouble and "DRAMA" so why all that drama???

  1. I wish I had acting lessons when I was young. As I imagine it would teach you to master your emotions rather pretend. To make you willing and able to face an audience and attract their attention. That's definitely something I was I was taught when I was from 3 to 12.

  2. you could have been taught to be presentable, and confident, taught leadership, plus mastering your emotions is not like acting, each one of us should master their own emotions =) but acting is not mastering, just faking =)

  3. but you can't really fake unless you control your emotions, can you? maybe we disagree on the concept of acting itself. faking might be part of the deal, but certainly not everything.

  4. controlling your emotions, noone can,
but knowing why and what and how you feel that is a part of emotional intelligence, it's something everyone should be working on =)
