Life in Retrospect

Have you ever thought about the past? Thought about what could have been done to change the outcome that you currently are dissatisfied with? Have you looked at your decisions in retrospect? And been so judgmental that you thought you will lose your mind?

Haven’t we all felt guilty at a certain point in our lives where we wished not for a second chance, but for a do-over, where we will be positive of the correct choice that we should go with?

But why regret the things that happened to us? Why feel sorry for ourselves about the things we "think" we can change? Who said we could change the past? A time machine is not an option, and beating yourself up will only hold you back.

We have to accept the events of the past and deal with them as FACTS because they are non-changeable. And there were no way we would have avoided them in the past. But sure as hell we can benefit from their impact for a better future.

A Semi Daily Scenery

On my way home, I was anxious to see the nothing that was left there, but unfortunately for me as we got there, I saw the little pieces of the glass that were scattered on the road. They took me back 14 hours earlier. When I saw the crowd that moved really slowly, and I was very irritated from how people like to watch and meddle into things that they shouldn't meddle in, how they banally and superficially are seeing and commenting on a certain event. An event that took place semi daily and in the same place, mostly caused by the same reason, different people committing the same mistake day in and day out. What irritated me most is that their focus made me wanna too know what has taken place and while moving forward, I’ve been stealing glances trying to guess at which side did the event take place; will it be on my right, or on my left? Though I had a lot on my mind I kept peaking from laptop, as I was trying to finish some irrelative work.

Slowly and inch by inch, we got there, and to my surprise it was on both sides, and as we made our way through, moving like we were walking on egg shells, I noticed the newspaper pages arranged in a longitudinal way covering up half the car from the inside. And as we passed I had one question in mind, why didn't they use the prayer mat that was at the end of the car

Already Given

have you ever believed that you were given everything that you might need in your life to help you through the good times and the hard ones. things that would help you become who you are supposed to be, things that drive you to move forward in your life.

You know it, and you're 100 % sure of it, and when the time comes for you to prove the use of the things you've been given, you suddenly freeze and tend to act like you don't know anything, and then when you chill you start asking yourself, why aren't you using the knowledge that you know, the experiences that you've witnessed before, the know how.

Maybe it's because you aren't ready to accept your knowledge, maybe because you don't actually know how to use this knowledge, maybe you , maybe you, maybe you…… YOU

Stairs

Have you ever been walking up stairs? Jogging of running?
Doesn't the type of stairs make a difference? Steep steps, or narrow steps?
Where do you look, down your feet or up above your head?
Do you watch out for the people that you might be stepping on, or do you only have in mind that you need not to fall?

Well what I’ve noticed from the many stairs I’ve kept climbing, that moving up and down the stairs is pretty much similar to living life,
As long as there's up, there will be down,
You have to work hard at the beginning to rest on your way down.
While moving between the crowds, you need to watch your steps, not because you might stubble and fall, but also because you may step on someone who was sitting, or someone who's not moving with the same pace.
Along to looking at your feet, you also have to keep upper head up high, and be able to see when the steps are gonna end, and when you'll reach your destination.
When your moving down, careful that your hurry might make you slip, and take all the steps sliding, and you'll end up hurting yourself and maybe others.

So remember
it is an up and down process,
be ware where you place your feet,
and never lose sight of the end.
Some steps are easy, others are breath taking and heart burning.
But in the end you'll get there.

So welcome

Questioning Givens

Have you every been sympathising with a person who's talking to you, have you putting yourself in their shoes and trying to tell them what they should do in a particular situation that they have found themselves stuck in.

you take every information they tell you as a given and start thinking what would you do. you believe everything they say and so you start working on a solution.

Have you tried to back up a little, and to see what if the picture they are drawing is not completely true, and that the situations that they are describing is not totally the way they make you believe it is.

Would you question the givens of a hurting person? would you try to trace the truth even if it may seem to hurt them more?

During Sickness

Sometimes during sickness, we say that the pain has made us say things that we don’t usually say, only because we end up hurting those who care about us and all they were trying to do and wanted to do is to give a helping hand.

I don’t think the people who are offered the help are in anyway ungrateful, they are good people, that’s why there are people who want to be present and help them during their sickness.

But what is happening is, those who want to help are not helping in what we need help in. confused yet? Let me clarify:

You see a sick person, what you see is someone who needs to be healed.

I am THE sick person, what I need is to face my sickness and prove that I am stronger, healing it is not the first priority, my first priority is proving that during sickness I can function. And during sickness I can’t just try to be the best, but I can be the best I can, and see that even sickness can’t affect me negatively. This is how I will heal.

So if you understand this, then maybe you can help, by helping the not feeling so great person into beating their sickness. Coming out of it as strong as they can be, and not just needing time to regain their health after their sickness.
