A Day By The Sea

You’ve been to the sea
You’ve dug your feet into the water, but yet not too deep
Testing for the coldness or the contact with the sea

You’ve sat on the shore,
With your hands you dug a hole
Castles and animals shapes, all those till you're bored

Now again back to the sea, testing like before,
It’s a bit better now that the sun is warm
But still you watch and think: later when even the weather is warm

So back into your seat you sit, and sip your drink
Watching this guy jumping into the water,
And the kids sprinkling water on your already wet feet

You might be annoyed, you might be pissed,
But deep inside, you know that swimming in the sea is a true bliss

But afraid of the water, and not the sea,
You skipped your chance, and laid all day on the beach

Now all tanned but your eyes
You go back to your life

Remembering that it was the sea and not the water that scared the sh°t out of you
